[研究組簡(jiǎn)介]Introduction
中國(guó)科學(xué)院上海免疫與感染研究所現(xiàn)代疫苗中心專(zhuān)注于重大傳染性疾病的人用疫苗、腫瘤疫苗和動(dòng)物疫苗開(kāi)發(fā)，通過(guò)病毒學(xué)、免疫學(xué)和疫苗學(xué)的基礎(chǔ)研究，指導(dǎo)新型疫苗的設(shè)計(jì)與應(yīng)用。
Geoffrey Smith院士（英國(guó)皇家科學(xué)院、德國(guó)科學(xué)院），國(guó)際著名痘病毒研究專(zhuān)家，于2025年2月正式加入中國(guó)科學(xué)院上海免疫與感染研究所，成為現(xiàn)代疫苗中心首席科學(xué)家、病毒免疫逃逸與疫苗開(kāi)發(fā)研究組組長(zhǎng)。Smith院士是國(guó)際痘病毒研究權(quán)威，對(duì)痘病毒家族的生物學(xué)機(jī)制和疫苗開(kāi)發(fā)進(jìn)行了深入研究。他率先利用痘苗病毒開(kāi)發(fā)針對(duì)流感、瘧疾和乙肝等傳染病的新型疫苗，同時(shí)以痘苗病毒為模式病毒，全面解析了痘病毒的免疫逃逸機(jī)制、宿主相互作用及病毒復(fù)制策略。
Smith院士的研究成果發(fā)表在Nature、Science和Cell等國(guó)際頂尖學(xué)術(shù)期刊，并被廣泛引用。他曾發(fā)現(xiàn)多個(gè)痘病毒免疫逃逸和復(fù)制的新機(jī)制，為病毒學(xué)、免疫學(xué)和疫苗學(xué)研究提供了重要啟示。此外，Smith院士還是病毒學(xué)權(quán)威教材《費(fèi)氏病毒學(xué)》（Fields of Virology）的撰稿人之一，也是該領(lǐng)域的重要學(xué)術(shù)奠基人之一。Smith院士團(tuán)隊(duì)將聚焦痘病毒免疫逃逸及新型疫苗開(kāi)發(fā)領(lǐng)域的研究，同時(shí)，將與陸泳旭研究員的團(tuán)隊(duì)進(jìn)行深度合作，開(kāi)展開(kāi)創(chuàng)性科學(xué)研究。

The Vaccine Research Centre at the Shanghai Institute of Immunity and Infection, Chinese Academy of Sciences, focuses on the development of vaccines for infectious diseases and cancers of humans, and for major infectious diseases of animals. Through fundamental research in virology, immunology, and vaccinology, the centre guides the design and application of novel vaccines.
Professor Geoffrey Smith (Fellow of the Royal Society, UK, and the German Academy of Sciences), serves as the Chief Scientist of the Vaccine Research Centre and the head of the Viral Immune Evasion and Vaccine Development Research Group. As a postdoc, he established the principle of using genetically engineered viruses as new vaccines against a broad range of infectious diseases. Using vaccinia virus as a model, Professor Geoffrey Smith’s lab has conducted in-depth studies on the biological mechanisms of poxvirus replication, host interactions and immune evasion. This information is being applied to develop vacciens of greater safety and potency.
Professor Smith's research findings have been published in international academic journals such as Nature, Science, and Cell, and have been widely cited. He has discovered several new mechanisms of poxvirus immune evasion and replication, providing significant insights for virology, immunology, and vaccinology. Additionally, Professor Smith is one of the contributors to the authoritative virology textbook Fields, Virology and is a key academic founder in the field. Professor Smith leads a research group within the Vaccine Research Centre, Shanghai Institute of Immunity and Infection, Chinese Academy of Sciences, that is focused on poxvirus immune evasion and the development of vaccines. His research group will collaborate closely with the team of Dr Lu Yongxu to conduct groundbreaking scientific research.

工作內(nèi)容：
1.開(kāi)展以下領(lǐng)域的科研課題：
（1）篩選新的抗病毒宿主蛋白；
（2）鑒定新的抗病毒機(jī)制；
（3）鑒定新的病毒免疫逃逸策略；
（4）構(gòu)建重組痘病毒載體疫苗。
2. 參與課題組科研項(xiàng)目的合作與研究生指導(dǎo)；
3. 協(xié)助課題組科研項(xiàng)目的申請(qǐng)與實(shí)施。
應(yīng)聘條件：
1.年齡不超出35周歲，即將獲得或近三年內(nèi)已獲得病毒學(xué)、細(xì)胞生物學(xué)、免疫學(xué)或基礎(chǔ)醫(yī)學(xué)等相關(guān)領(lǐng)域博士學(xué)位，并在SCI期刊發(fā)表過(guò)或即將發(fā)表第一作者論文；
2.科學(xué)態(tài)度嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)，具備獨(dú)立科研能力和團(tuán)隊(duì)合作精神；
3.具備分子和細(xì)胞生物學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)經(jīng)驗(yàn)；
4.具備小型動(dòng)物攻毒實(shí)驗(yàn)經(jīng)驗(yàn)者優(yōu)先。
Postdoctoral Researchers (Job Number: GS-P-01): 2 positions
Job Responsibilities:
1.Conduct research projects in the following areas:
(1) Screening for new antiviral host proteins;
(2) Identifying new antiviral mechanisms;
(3) Identifying new viral immune evasion strategies;
(4) Constructing recombinant poxvirus vector vaccines.
2.Participate in collaborative research projects within the group and guide postgraduate students;
3.Assist in the application and implementation of research projects within the group.
Qualifications:
1.Age not exceeding 35 years, about to receive or having received a PhD in virology, cell biology, immunology, or basic medicine within the last three years, with first-author papers published or about to be published in SCI journals;
2.A rigorous scientific attitude, independent research capabilities, and a team spirit;
3.Experience in molecular and cellular biology experiments;
4.Experience in small animal challenge experiments is welcome but not essential.
